Due to Dr. Julie's dual credentials of Doctor of Chiropractic and Family Nurse Practitioner there can be some confusion as to insurance in-network status.  If you have questions, please reach out to us.

It is always your responsibility to know what your insurance covers and what your deductible, copay, and co-insurance rates are.  We do our best to find out information for you, but due to the growing numbers of plans and policies, we are not able to have complete accuracy of each and every policy and/or plan.

Similarly, some insurance companies have "carve-out" policies, and while we may be in-network with the insurance company, we may not be in-network with your individual plan.  We suggest you contact your insurance to see if we are in-network with your plan prior to scheduling care at our office.

We are NOT accepting new Medicaid patients at this time.
Plattsmouth Hometown Health does accept Medicaid patients for medical care and Beyond the Spine Chiropractic accepts Medicaid patients for chiropractic care and are conveniently located on the same premises.

If you are unsure of your benefits, please reach out to us for assistance before your appointment.  We will do our best to assist you, however we can not  guarantee any benefits until the claim is sent in to your insurance.

We have contracts with insurance companies and are bound by those contracts.  We do not decide how much you will have to pay for your services, regardless of charged prices.

The No Surprises Act - 2022

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

•You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

•Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

•If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

•Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Out of Network Care

If we are not in-network with your insurance company or plan, you can still choose to receive care at our office.  However, you will be responsible for the cost of any unpaid balance by the insurance.  We will ask that you sign a waiver that indicates that you understand this distinction prior to receiving care.
